The Wardsflex Manhole Cover Lifters permit safe, easy lifting of single and double manhole covers (depending upon model) by a single person, providing the opportunity to make significant job cost savings. For heavy duty lifting applications Wardsflex has developed the MK 1 & MK 2 Hydraulic Manhole Cover Lifters. Use the MK 1 Hydraulic Manhole Cover Lifter with single manhole covers and the MK 2 for lifting double manhole covers. All Manhole Cover Lifters are supplied complete with 2-pairs (4-pairs for MK 2 lifter) of Manhole Cover keys (13mm diameter & 16mm diameter).
Arnold Mk1 Manhole Lifter - the versatile lifting device
Arnold Mk.1 is designed to allow a single person to safely remove and replace a variety of manhole, duct and trench covers. It has a safe working load of 125kgs and the effort required to manually operate the equipment is minimal.
The device is designed to fold into a compact size making it easy to transport and store. The pivoting bearer beam allows the lid to remain horizontal during the removal and replacement process and there are a variety of lifting keys available for use with most covers encountered in the UK. The wheels are 250mm diameter with pneumatic tyres allowing the device to be travelled across a gravelled surface although the device is not designed to travel across rough terrain whilst fully loaded
The Arnold Mk 1 lifting device has been tested and approved to lift lids up to 125kg and has a self weight of approximately 20kg
