Worm Screws - Single and Double
Wardsflex manufacture a variety of Single and Double Worm Screws which available in sizes from 25mm to 140mm. Although both styles of worm screw share many characteristics to be useful clearing blockages in certain conditions, the enhanced benefits of one style over the other are listed below:
Single Worm Screws - work best when trying to clear a more solidified type of obstruction such as rags, fats, grease, silt or a severe root mass as these worms can be repeatedly wound into the obstruction like a cork screw to either break up the blockage and let it wash away or retrieve it for disposal.
Double Worm Screws - work best when the blockage is perhaps of a larger or looser nature as the twin prongs can be wound into the obstruction until they grip hold which enables the blockage of perhaps rags or roots to be withdrawn and disposed of. |

Brass Clearing Wheel Fitted to the front end of rods, this wheel guides rods around difficult bends and removes minor blockages by pushing material clear | |

Flexible Coiled Leading Rod Flexible Coiled Spring Leading Rods are typically used by fitting to the front end of a set of drain rods to help guide them through awkward changes in pipe direction. This can be especially useful when clearing blockages at the right-angle bend of a tumbling bay, backdrop or an interceptor.
