the threads were to big for the standard rods i have but filing them down a bit it fitted the rods in the end.

Found we had a blocked drain, already had some rods but quickly had to purchase more. even with 2 sets of rods had difficulty turning them to maintain they did not come loose. Had to leave the blockage overnight I looked for something like my purchase which would help greatly the next time. Following morning after fair amount of hard work unblocked my drains but was more aware how handy my potential purchase would help next time.
